Ashok Bhat urges to maintain calm so that SIT gets the time to conclude its investigations
Srinagar, Nov 18: BJP’s Kashmir Unit on Tuesday said welcomed the inquiry into the recent Hyderpora encounter by LG administration and stated that unfortunately, some political parties are playing with the pain and emotions of families of slain civilians.
Party’s Kashmir Media In-charge and youth leader Manzoor Bhat said they understand the pain of losing someone of Hyderpora encounter victim families and understand their world.
“We have already forwarded our request to party high command that bodies of the civilians should be handed over to them and probe will reach its logical conclusion,” he said adding that investigation will lead to justice and truth.
Bhat said instead of expressing sympathy with the families of slain civilians, National Conference and PDP leaders are playing their dirty politics over the issue, but they have forgotten their history, no inquires was taken for years when any innocent was killed.
“It is shame for these parties, that they have gone to any extend for grabbing power and money. They are playing politics over the emotions and pain of the families rather than standing with them,” he said.
Bhat said in the past also, the administration has imitated inquiry in the Ashmipora encounter, where culprits were arrested and the truth was revealed. Similarly we are hopeful that in Hyderpora encounter, the truth will come before the public, he said.
“This government is not blind like Congress regime. We have complete faith in the leadership of Prime Minister Modi Ji and Home Minister Amit Shah Ji. From top leaders to bottom, all are the same and intolerant to injustice. They stand always with the people and speak the truth,” he said.
The youth leader said from the past two years, some political parties are trying to disrupt the peace in Jammu and Kashmir, but they will not be succeeded in their plans.
“At this time, we stand with the families and assure them if some injustice is done with him. The investigation will take to the logical conclusion and culprits will be dealt with strictly,” Bhat added.
Meanwhile, BJP District President Srinagar, Ashok Bhat BJP urged the administration to urgently institute an honest and impartial probe into the recent shootings at Hyderpora, Srinagar.
In a statement, he welcomed the formation of an SIT to investigate but cautioned the administration to ensure that the investigation is non-partisan and honest.
“The loss of lives in gun violence spawned by terrorism has got to come to an end. As long as guns are in our midst and we do not – as one, and collectively – shun the use of violence to resolve issues, innocent people will continue to get killed. This must come to an end,” he said.
He was critical of the former Chief Minister, Ms. Mehbooba Mufti, for not unequivocally coming down against Pakistan-sponsored terrorism that has ruined the lives of the people of Jammu and Kashmir, and deprived them of the fruits of development and a democratic expression of their rights.
“We have to be unequivocal about our strongest disapproval of violence, and cannot be fence-sitters like Ms. Mehbooba Mufti,” Ashok said.
“It is precisely her kind of politics that is continuing to expose our young men and women to terrorist violence and untimely death, and keeping the pot boiling as directed by her masters across the border,” he added.
Ashok urged all to maintain calm, and ensure that the SIT gets the time to conclude its investigations with diligence and with honesty.
