The Uttar Pradesh government told the Supreme Court that polluted air from Pakistan affects the air quality in Delhi.

The Uttar Pradesh government on Friday told the Supreme Court that polluted air from Pakistan affects the air quality in Delhi, adding that the industries in UP have no role to play in the national capital’s pollution.A bench headed by Chief Justice of India NV Ramana was hearing a plea on air pollution in the Delhi-NCR region.Senior advocate Ranjit Kumar, appearing for the UP government, argued that the state industries are downwind and the polluted air doesn’t go towards Delhi.
