Two brothers beat up brother’s widow to grab property, brother-in-law’s daughter arrested

Patna 09 Feb . A case of murder of relationships has come to light in Patna City, adjacent to the capital of Bihar. To grab property here, two brothers have beaten to death the widowed wife of their real brother with bricks. The incident is from Tikia Toli locality of Sultanganj police station area. On being informed by the relatives of the deceased and the local people, the police reached the spot and took the dead body in their possession and sent it to Nalanda Medical College (NMCH) for postmortem. The police has arrested the daughter of the brother-in-law of the deceased in this case. Since the incident, the accused Bhasur (Jeth) and brother-in-law are absconding, for whose arrest the police is engaged in intensive raiding.
According to the information received, 45-year-old Pinky Devi lived alone in her in-laws’ house after the death of her husband Sunil Mahato. Pinky Devi did not have any children, so her brother-in-law Suresh Mahato and brother-in-law Anil Mahato had an eye on her property. Together they wanted to evict him from the property. Pinky Devi was being repeatedly threatened by Bhasur and brother-in-law to leave the house, failing which both of them together killed Pinky Devi with bricks and stones.
When asked about the incident, Jairam Prasad, the cousin of the deceased, told that after the death of husband Sunil Mahato, Pinky Devi used to live alone in her husband’s house. Since Pinky Devi did not have any children, her brother-in-law and brother-in-law had an eye on her property, which both, along with their wife and daughter, brutally murdered Pinky Devi.

Confirming the incident, Sultanganj police station president Sher Singh Yadav has assured to arrest the absconding accused soon. At present, the police is engaged in intensive raiding campaign for the arrest of the absconding accused.(IANS)
