Tightening its noose around drug peddlers , Kupwara police has arrested four more drug peddlers in two separate cases of narcotics peddling in the jurisdiction of Police Station Kupwara. In the first case of arrests, a Police team led by Incharge Police Post Hatmulla SI Lokesh Manhas under the supervision of SHO Kupwara Mohd Rafiq Lone , acting on a specific information developed by officials of District Special Branch was able to arrest Javed Ahmad Wani son of Mohd Yousaf and Rayees Ahmad Khan son of Abdul Qayoom Khan both residents of Halmatpora. The duo was arrested when they were on way to sell Charas among innocent youth of the area to earn money. Case FIR No.93/2022 under section 8/20 NDPS Act has been registered against the duo and further investigations taken up. The second case of narcotics peddling was unearthed by police team of Police Station Kupwara led by its SHO Mohd Rafiq Lone under the supervision of DySP Sarfaraz Bashir, when acting on a specific information Mohd Hussain Lone son of Abdul Jabbar Lone , a resident of Mirnag Hyhama and Manzoor Ahmad Khoja son of Saifuddin Khoja , resident of Manwan Awoora were arrested with narcotics in their possession in Tikker area of Police Station Kupwara. Case FIR No.94/2022 under sections 8/20, 29 NDPS Act has been registered against the duo for peddling Charas seized in the case. Mohd Hussain Lone is a known infamous peddler who is previously involved in such cases of peddling. Kashmir Zone Police Media Centre
