Those who used boycott politics shouldn’t lecture us about democracy: BJP’s Tarun Chugh

BJP National General Secretary and Incharge J&K, Tarun Chugh on Saturday strongly reacted to the statement of PDP chief Mehbooba Mufti, saying “those who used boycott politics during past elections shouldn’t give lectures about democracy.”

Talking to Kashmir News Service (KNS), he said those who were using boycott politics during elections should introspect and refrain from giving lectures on democracy.

He said political parties like PDP, NC, Congress and others were using boycott politics to remain in power corridors.

To a question, Chugh said Narendra Modi led government didn’t snatch anything from Kashmir instead the UT was empowered and central laws were made applicable to J&K that benefited people widely.

“The abrogation of Article 370 didn’t take away anything. The revocation of article empowered women at large scale, more than 150 central laws were made applicable to J&K. Those talking of plunder and loot are basically deceiving masses”, he added.

He said Abdullah & sons, Mufti & sons and Gandhi-Nehru & sons are infamous for putting roadblocks in the developmental process in J&K.

“Through Modi’s Sab Ka Saath, Sab Ka Vikas & Sab Ka Vishwas J&K has seen a new dawn of peace, prosperity & development. Regional parties are unable to digest this feat”, Chugh added.

He also said funds meant for welfare of poor and downtrodden in J&K were used by NC and PDP for pampering corruption. (KNS)
