Miscreants chop 7 HT wooden poles in Budgam, electricity snapped in many villages

Miscreants in Beerwah area of central Kashmir’s Budgam district on Saturday and Sunday night had chopped down 7 HT poles in Pathzanigam, due to which electricity was snapped in many villages, officals said.

In a Tweet, AEE Beerwah said in a bizarre and huge irresponsible act in the intervening night of 17th and 18th Dec 2022, some unknown persons of village Pathzanigam have cut down 7 number of wooden HT poles of the 11kv feeder.

“This has inturn effected the power supply of various villages viz, Pakherpora, Kangripora, Batpora, Chakerpora, Khandipora, Zoogipora and Lachmanpora, etc.

” Pathzanigam has around 160 registered consumers most of whom have not paid fees from nearly 10 years now,” he said in a tweet.
