Stone pelting, strikes are a past; now Kashmiris walk streets freely
Bandipora: “Rahul Gandhi’s Bharat Jodo Yatra was possible only during BJP regime when a series of processions and stone pelting in Kashmir have become a matter of past,” said BJP leader and Waqf Chairperson Darakhshan Andrabi.
Speaking to the reporters on the sidelines of a workers meeting in Bandipora, Jammu and Kashmir Wakf Board Chairperson Dr. Darakhshan Andrabi said that it was possible in the era of the BJP government that the Congress leader Rahul Gandhi had made a peaceful pilgrimage to Kashmir.
She also said that during the last 30 years no Congress leader or Rahul Gandhi dared to make such a pilgrimage to Kashmir before this. “Which means that the situation in Kashmir is now much better than before.”
“The series of processions and stone pelting in Kashmir has come to an end. After which Rahul Gandhi dared to enter Kashmir on foot. Rahul Gandhi should thank Prime Minister Narendra Modi for creating such a situation in Kashmir,” she added.
The meeting was held in presence of BJP General Secretary (Org) Ashok Kaul,BJP district president Bandipora Naseer Ahmad,DDC Tulail Aijaz Khan, BJP Yuva Morcha President and other senior leaders were also present on the occasion.
“The purpose of the meeting was to stabilize the party, so that the workers and the party are fully prepared for any upcoming election, especially the parliament election”,she added.
Replying to a question about the assembly election, she said that if parliament elections are held the assembly election will also be held. “The political future of Kashmir is improving now, there are neither strikes nor stone pelting. Now Kashmiris walk the streets fearlessly. Congress,National Conference and PDP are responsible for unemployment in Kashmir”,she added.
