Says DIET causing huge inconvenience to students studies in School, Migrant KP employees; assures locals immediate shifting of DIET Centre, upgrading of School on fast track basis
Srinagar, April 13: BJP leader and in-charge-Lal Chowk Constituency Er Aijaz Hussain today visited Sonwar area of Srinagar and met the locals of the area who sought immediate shifting of DIET Centre which was recently shifted to Government Boys High School stating that the move has badly affected the studies of the children studying in the school.
The locals of Sonwar urged Er Aijaz that ever since the DIET Centre of Srinagar was shifted to Govt School, the children studying in the school are facing huge inconvenience and also the employees working under Prime Minister’s Package in travelling to the Centre, hence feeling insecure. The locals sought immediate intervention of Er Aijaz stating that the DIET Centre Srinagar should be immediately shifted to some other locality and that the school be upgraded on modern lines.
Er Aijaz gave them a patient hearing and assured them that DIET Centre will be shifted from school and every step will be taken to upgrade the school as per the government guidelines. He told the locals that he will take up the matter with the Education Department officials and ensure that the DIET Centre is shifted as soon as possible. Er Aijaz seconded the demands of locals and assured them timely action.
Meanwhile, Er Aijaz also reviewed the pace of developmental projects going on in the area. He took stock of the construction work going on the footpaths and roads connecting Sonwar with the Boulevard and SKICC. He expressed his satisfaction at the pace of developmental activities. The locals of Sonwar also briefed him about various day to day issues faced by them.
